One Billion Rising Festival will take place 7-14 February at The Bread & Roses Theatre in Clapham. The eight day creative campaign, is aiming to raise awareness, educate, discuss topics of interest and entertain by joining the biggest mass action to end violence against women.

The festival's programme is a mix of theatre, burlesque, poetry, workshops, exhibitions and talks. Performances include The Vagina Monologues, tu: pɔɪnt faɪv, Breathless, a Little Night Music, and The Princess Monologues exploring topics such as trafficking, violence, abuse, sexuality. Hear It! Claire Booker hosts an evening of feisty, awe-inspiring poetry from three amazing guest poets, and opportunities for open mic. See the full programme and show details here.

Pulp & Pith's own Sonia will run a photography workshop, where she will cover ways to challenge, and look your own and other’s faces exploring controlled spontaneity. If you are after something more active, Tom Morley and Dawn Ellis will teach you drum rhythms, body percussion 'stomps' and simple harmony chants, or join Jo King in her Body Confidence Workshop. Talks will focus around the festival's main topic, violence against women, but discussions about trafficking, femininity and One Billion Rising's purposes will also take place. For information and details on the talks click. Finally related work from artists including Susan Plover, Melitta Nemeth, Jacquie Jones, will be presented during the festival.
