We are hoping the 2016 is going to be a year full of creativity for Pulp & Pith. When we decided to start the company both of us were very keen on developing our own projects as well as working with artists and art organisations. The time has come for our first produced project, SpeakUp Arts.

SpeakUp Arts is a series of events that brings together artists from difference disciplines and audiences, challenging the traditional ways of consuming arts. The events will take place throughout 2016 and different artists will be involved in every event.

By giving artists a space to develop and approach their work differently, we will explore how various art forms can co-exist and audiences can be engaged, offering unique and memorable experiences. SpeakUp Arts is a collaboration between creative people where the line separating artists and audiences is thin and blurry.

Instead of organising a photography exhibition or a new writing showcase, we thought of bringing an illustrator, a dancer, an actor and a photographer in the same room and see how they collaborate and interact with audiences without loosing their individuality. We also want the artists to have an opinion in terms of what they would like to do or present and we would always take their suggestions in consideration.

Our first event will take place on the 15th of March in the evening at NINES in Peckham. If you are an artist and want to get involved get in touch or if you know someone that might be interested in participating please pass on the details. You can contact us by emailing info@pulpandpith.com.
